Marlboro police recover stolen dirt bikes after online tip
MARLBORO, N.J. – A Pennsylvania man scrolling through Facebook Marketplace helped police in New Jersey recover multiple stolen dirt bikes linked to a recent burglary, authorities said.
The discovery came on September 24 after the victim recognized his stolen bike listed for sale online. Marlboro Police traced the post to a Morganville address, where they found the bikes and arrested a suspect.

Burglary link discovered
Investigators said the bikes were originally stolen during a residential burglary in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. When the victim spotted his bike on Facebook Marketplace, he quickly contacted Marlboro Police, leading to the recovery operation.
Arrest and charges
Officers arrested 19-year-old Alex Soumine of Morganville and said he was in possession of a fraudulent vehicle title. A search warrant at his home uncovered several more stolen dirt bikes.

Soumine faces seven counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle, as well as charges of forgery, obstruction, and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution as the investigation continues.
