Sleeping Woman Bound and Sexually Assaulted in Brooklyn Home Invasion

Brooklyn, NY – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a sexually motivated burglary that occurred early Monday morning inside a Bushwick residence, according to the NYPD’s 83rd Precinct.

The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. near Pilling Street and Evergreen Avenue, when a 43-year-old woman was asleep in her home and an intruder allegedly entered through a kitchen window.

Investigators said the suspect placed a pillow over the woman’s head and tied her wrists before committing a lewd act and stealing her cell phone and watch.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where she was listed in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a man last seen wearing a white baseball cap, black sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, black sneakers, and carrying a dark-colored bookbag.
