19-year-old shot overnight in downtown Baltimore as police investigate
BALTIMORE, MD — A 19-year-old man was shot early Tuesday morning in the heart of downtown Baltimore, prompting an ongoing investigation by Central District detectives.
Just after midnight, around 12:24 a.m., patrol officers in the 200 block of South Eutaw Street heard gunfire while on routine patrol. Officers immediately canvassed the surrounding area and located the victim in the 400 block of West Saratoga Street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The injury was described as non-life-threatening, and medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.
