14-year-old boy shot during argument inside bronx apartment building

Bronx, NY – A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized Saturday evening after being shot during an argument inside a Taylor Avenue building, police said.

The shooting happened around 6:34 p.m. inside 877 Taylor Avenue.

The suspects fled in a Mercedes SUV moments after the attack.

Argument escalated into gunfire

According to investigators, the teen was approached by two unidentified males when a verbal dispute broke out. One of the men pulled out a firearm and fired, striking the victim in the right leg.

Victim expected to recover

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the 14-year-old to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

Suspect descriptions released

Police described both suspects as males with medium complexions. One was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, a black face mask, and black and white sneakers. The second was wearing a black sweater, gray pants, a black face mask, and black sneakers.

NYPD seeks public’s help

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects’ whereabouts to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline. All tips can be submitted anonymously.
