Gunfire at shopping center leads police to teen suspect’s doorstep
Greenbelt, MD — A juvenile male linked to last week’s shooting at the Greenway shopping center was arrested early Wednesday morning during a search warrant operation in the 8200 block of Canning Terrace, according to the Greenbelt Police Department.
The arrest was carried out by the department’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) alongside detectives, who also recovered additional evidence during the operation. Authorities confirmed that no injuries occurred during the arrest, and the juvenile suspect was safely taken into custody and transported to the Upper Marlboro Department of Corrections.
The arrest stems from a shooting incident that took place on October 28 at the Greenway shopping center in Greenbelt. Police have not released further details about the shooting or the nature of the juvenile’s involvement. No injuries were reported in the original incident.
