Bronx man arrested in connection with assault on teenage girl

BRONX, NY – A 24-year-old Bronx man was arrested late Tuesday night in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a 15-year-old girl inside a Hughes Avenue apartment, police said.

William Credle was taken into custody around 11:37 p.m. by members of the Bronx Adult Sex Crimes Squad following an investigation into the reported incident.

The case unfolded within the confines of the 48th Precinct, where investigators allege Credle restrained the teen during the encounter.

Detectives said Credle was located and arrested without incident. He was taken to a local precinct for processing and was awaiting arraignment as of Wednesday morning.
