Glen Burnie man arrested after fentanyl, ammo, and drug-laced candy seized in Brooklyn Park raids

Brooklyn Park, MD – A large cache of drugs, ammunition, and drug-laced candy was seized during early morning raids on two homes in Brooklyn Park last week, leading to the arrest of a 23-year-old Glen Burnie man.

On November 14 at approximately 5:40 a.m., Anne Arundel County detectives executed search warrants at two residences in the 5200 block of Wasena Avenue as part of an ongoing narcotics and weapons investigation.

The searches uncovered the following items:

  • 22 suspected THC-infused lollipops
  • 66 strips of suspected buprenorphine
  • Approximately 87.46 grams of suspected fentanyl (30 pills)
  • 2 digital scales
  • 248 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition
  • 290 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition
  • 94 rounds of .223 caliber ammunition
  • 4 rounds of 9mm ammunition
  • 1 round of .40 caliber ammunition
  • 2 12-gauge shotgun shells
  • 3 AR-15 30-round magazines
  • $1,419 in U.S. currency

The suspect, identified as Joshua Daniel Stratton of Glen Burnie, was arrested at the scene and charged. Authorities have not disclosed the specific charges but confirmed they are related to drug trafficking and possession of ammunition.

This arrest follows a series of recent enforcement actions across Brooklyn Park targeting narcotics distribution and firearm violations in response to ongoing community complaints.
