HEMPSTEAD, NY – A lucky TAKE 5 player is waking up nearly $19,000 richer after purchasing a top-prize winning ticket in Hempstead for the New York Lottery’s midday drawing on Wednesday.

The winning ticket, worth $18,923.50, was sold at Health & Wellness Farmacia, located at 634 Fulton Avenue. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn during the December 3 TAKE 5 MIDDAY game.

TAKE 5 is a twice-daily game, with numbers drawn from a pool of 1 through 39. Drawings are held at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., offering players two chances daily to win top prizes.

Lottery officials confirmed the ticket as the sole top-prize winner in that drawing. Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize at any official lottery customer service center or authorized prize location.
