Harford County teen charged with murder in deadly Baltimore shooting

Baltimore, MD — A 19-year-old man from Harford County has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal November shooting in downtown Baltimore, police confirmed.

Tyrell Tucker was arrested on December 4 at his residence by Warrant Apprehension detectives without incident. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was officially charged in the death of 32-year-old Broderick Morris.

The homicide occurred on November 2 at approximately 1:35 a.m. in the 300 block of West Lexington Street. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Morris suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died.

After weeks of investigation, homicide detectives identified Tucker as the suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains active.
