Trotwood, OH – A Trotwood resident is $500,000 richer after winning the top prize in the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game, turning a $50 ticket into a life-changing payout after buying it from a Dayton convenience store.

The winner, who opted for the game’s $500,000 cash option over the annual $40,000 for 25 years, will take home $364,375 after required state and federal taxes totaling 27.125%. The winning ticket was sold at Nick’s Food Market, located at 7939 North Main Street in Dayton.

VIP Millions is one of the Ohio Lottery’s highest-priced instant games, offering a top prize structure designed to pay out large lump sums or annual installments. As of Thursday, there are still 19 top prizes remaining in the game, according to lottery officials.
