Driver arrested for DUI after ditch assist reveals signs of intoxication
STAFFORD, VA – A roadside assist turned into a DUI arrest Thursday when deputies encountered a New Jersey man showing signs of impairment near a vehicle in a ditch.
Deputy J. W. Courtney arrived at the intersection of Sunflower Drive and Austin Ridge Drive at 3:41 p.m. to assist a tow truck. The driver, Vincent Ganci, 51, of Galloway, NJ, displayed slurred speech and failed sobriety tests.
Ganci was charged with DUI and held on a secured bond.
