Three Powerball tickets sold in Pennsylvania hit for $1.2 million in total prizes
Middletown, PA – Three Powerball players in Pennsylvania are sharing in $1.2 million in prizes after landing second-tier and Power Play wins in the December 22 drawing — with two of the winning tickets sold in Bucks County and one in Lackawanna County.
The largest prize, a $1 million win, came from a ticket sold at 7-Eleven, 1483 West Street Road in Warminster Township, Bucks County. That ticket matched all five white balls drawn — 3, 18, 36, 41, 54 — missing only the red Powerball. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The two other winning tickets, each worth $100,000, were sold at ACME Markets, 2301 Pasqualone Boulevard in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, and Junior’s Convenience Store, 303 George Street in Throop Borough, Lackawanna County. Both tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball (7) and included the $1 Power Play option, which doubled the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000. Each retailer will earn a $500 bonus.
In total, more than 239,000 Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes in the December 22 drawing, including over 49,500 with Power Play and more than 24,200 with Double Play.
Powerball ticket sales from this jackpot run generated over $124 million statewide, creating a profit of more than $49 million to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.
Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
