NYPD searching for suspect in Queens stabbing that left 64-year-old man seriously injured

Queens, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for assault after a 64-year-old man was stabbed during a dispute in Queens on Friday evening.

Police said the incident occurred around 6:58 p.m. on January 23, 2026, near Edgerton Boulevard and Wexford Terrace. According to investigators, the victim and an unidentified man became involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the right side of his chest. The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Detectives from the 103rd Precinct are investigating and reviewing local surveillance footage.
