NEW YORK, NY – The NYPD is investigating a series of robberies across multiple boroughs that have targeted both elderly and teenage victims in recent weeks, according to several alerts issued by the department’s Crime Stoppers division.
In the most recent case, four unidentified suspects are wanted for robbing a 69-year-old man near East 164th Street and Gerard Avenue in the Bronx on Saturday, January 24, around 8 p.m. Police said the group followed and confronted the victim before fleeing the scene. Additional details about the stolen property were not immediately released.
Just days later, on January 28, two suspects robbed a 15-year-old boy inside St. James Park at 2550 Jerome Avenue, also in the Bronx. The individuals threatened the teen and forcibly took his jacket before running northbound on Morris Avenue. The victim was not seriously injured.
Earlier in January, on the morning of January 10, an unidentified suspect shoved a 72-year-old man against a fence outside 2305 Ryer Avenue and stole his wallet, which contained about $150, a debit card, and identification. The assailant fled northbound and remains at large.
Police are also searching for a suspect who assaulted and robbed an 87-year-old man in Queens on December 8, 2025, near Bowne Street and Holly Avenue. The victim was punched, pushed to the ground, and robbed of his cell phone before the suspect escaped. In a separate Manhattan case on December 24, three suspects attacked a 13-year-old boy behind 103 West 107th Street, stealing his black North Face jacket and green Bathing Ape sweatshirt after repeatedly striking him in the face.
