MANHATTAN, N.Y. – Police are searching for a suspect accused of attacking and robbing a 14-year-old girl in the Kips Bay section of Manhattan on Thursday morning, according to an NYPD Crime Stoppers alert.

Authorities identified the suspect as 43-year-old Germaine Parham. Investigators say the incident happened around 11:42 a.m. near 1st Avenue and First Avenue Loop, within the 13th Precinct. Parham allegedly approached the teen, assaulted her, and took her cellphone before fleeing the area.

The victim received medical attention and support services following the attack. Detectives with the NYPD Special Victims Division are leading the investigation and continuing to review security footage from nearby buildings and businesses.

Police said Parham remains at large and urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip anonymously through crimestoppers.nypdonline.org.
