Man walks into hospital with gunshot wound as mystery shooting unfolds
Baltimore, MD – A shooting that unfolded under the cover of night only came to light hours later when a wounded man showed up at a hospital, prompting detectives to piece together what happened and where it occurred.
The incident surfaced the morning of February 4 around 8:07 a.m., when officers were notified that a shooting victim had walked into an area hospital seeking treatment. The victim, a 36-year-old man, was found suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his shin.
Investigators determined the shooting did not happen at the hospital. Preliminary findings indicate the man was shot the previous night, February 3, sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. The exact location and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.
