Hyattsville, MD – A Washington, D.C., man has been charged with first-degree murder after a late-night workplace dispute in Hyattsville ended in a fatal shooting, according to Prince George’s County police.

Homicide Unit detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department announced that 39-year-old Jalleel Jackson is accused of killing 33-year-old Christopher Hall of Carrollton, Virginia.

Officers responded Tuesday at approximately 10:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of 52nd Avenue in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville. When they arrived, they located Hall suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Preliminary findings indicate the shooting followed a dispute between Jackson and Hall, who were coworkers at the business where the incident occurred.

Jackson was apprehended in Washington, D.C., by the PGPD Fugitive Unit with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He remains in custody pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

Jackson faces charges of first degree murder and related offenses. The investigation remains active under the department’s Homicide Unit.
