Cranford Police Issue Traffic and Safety Notice for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Authorities are reminding residents and visitors about road closures, parking restrictions, and alcohol rules for Sunday’s Cranford St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Cranford, NJ – Cranford police are advising residents and visitors to expect road closures and parking restrictions Sunday as the township hosts its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The parade is scheduled to take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., beginning at the Cranford Community Center at Walnut Avenue and Lincoln Avenue and traveling through the downtown area.

Parade route through downtown

The parade will proceed north through downtown Cranford along North Union Avenue before turning left onto Alden Street. Marchers will then turn left onto Miln Street.

The parade will conclude at Lot 7 near the intersection of Miln Street and Eastman Street.

Parking and alcohol rules enforced

Police said no-parking signs will be posted along the parade route, and any vehicle parked in restricted areas during posted times will be towed to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators.

Officials also reminded attendees that alcohol consumption is not permitted along the parade route. Alcohol Beverage Control officers will be assigned to the event to enforce open container laws.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time due to road closures and increased traffic in the area.
