Social media tip leads Virginia woman to $100K lottery win with rare ‘quad 0s’

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Virginia woman discovered she had won $100,000 in the lottery after seeing a post on social media about a rare winning number combination.

Angela Wilcher realized she hit big when she saw that 0-0-0-0 — known as “quad zeros” — had been drawn in the February 27 Pick 4 daytime drawing.

Wilcher had purchased 20 plays using the same combination, with each ticket winning $5,000 for a total of $100,000.

The tickets were bought online through the Virginia Lottery.

Pick 4 drawings are held twice daily, with a top prize of $5,000 for a $1 play.

Wilcher plans to save the winnings for retirement.
