Baltimore police arrest two juveniles after scooter carjacking in Northern District

A 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody and a second juvenile with an active warrant was also arrested, police say.

Baltimore, MD — Baltimore police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a scooter carjacking involving a 69-year-old victim, and took a second juvenile into custody on an outstanding warrant, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The incident occurred April 10 in the 800 block of University Parkway, where the victim was carjacked of his scooter. Officers from the Northern District Action Team later tracked the stolen scooter to the 2200 block of Kirk Avenue, where the 15-year-old suspect was located and arrested, police said in a social media update.

Investigators from the Northern District identified the location of the stolen scooter shortly after the incident, leading officers to the Kirk Avenue address.

At that same residence, police said they also arrested a 14-year-old male who had an active warrant for removing his ankle monitor. Authorities noted the younger teen is known to law enforcement and has a history of multiple robbery-related arrests.
