Fourth suspect arrested after wild chain of shootings rocks Calvert County
LUSBY, MD — A drive-by shooting in Lusby spiraled into a second exchange of gunfire involving occupants of the targeted home, ending with four people facing attempted murder charges, according to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded May 3 at about 10:56 p.m. to the 11400 block of H.G. Trueman Road for reports of a drive-by shooting.
When deputies arrived, they discovered shell casings in the roadway and damage to the outside of the residence.
Investigators said a 24-year-old man, a 26-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child were inside the home during the shooting. No injuries were reported.
Detectives identified Krystal Marie Davis, 23, Damar Malik Abney, 23, and Takwon Demarion Mason, 21, all of Waldorf, as suspects in the initial shooting.
Authorities said all three were quickly arrested with assistance from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, detectives learned that an occupant of the Lusby residence allegedly pursued the suspects and fired at them while traveling along Route 231 near the Benedict Bridge in Prince Frederick.
No one was injured during the second shooting, officials said.
Investigators later identified Quentin Antoine Harley Jr., 24, of Lusby, as the suspect involved in the retaliatory gunfire.
Harley was subsequently taken into custody by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
All four suspects are charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony or violent crime.
The investigation remains ongoing.
