A scratch-off purchased in Allegheny County is now worth $1 million after a winning ticket surfaced at a local GetGo

Middletown, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off ticket worth $1 million was sold in Allegheny County, turning a routine purchase at a GetGo convenience store into one of the state’s latest seven-figure wins.

The winning ticket came from the Pennsylvania Lottery’s Million Dollar Win It All Scratch-Off game, which offers top prizes of $1 million.

Lottery officials announced that the ticket was sold at GetGo, located at 410 Chestnut Street in Carnegie Borough.

The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the $1 million-winning ticket.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials did not release any information about the purchaser, and the Lottery said it only learns where winning tickets are sold after a prize has been claimed.

Million Dollar Win It All is a $50 scratch-off game featuring top prizes of $1 million.

Lottery officials reminded players that scratch-off prizes expire one year after a game’s official end-sale date. Winners are encouraged to sign the back of their tickets immediately and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery for prize claim instructions.

All Pennsylvania Lottery prizes exceeding $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding requirements.

The Pennsylvania Lottery said scratch-off tickets are distributed randomly, meaning neither the Lottery nor retailers know where winning tickets will ultimately be sold.
