New Jersey – German Shepherd Rescue of New Jersey is asking the public to help find an emergency foster home for Camilla, a 4-year-old German Shepherd recently accepted into the organization’s rescue program.
Rescue officials say Camilla needs a safe, comfortable environment where she can adjust after leaving the shelter while waiting for a permanent home.
Rescue outlines foster requirements
According to German Shepherd Rescue of New Jersey, Camilla should be placed in a home where she is the only dog. The rescue noted that she previously lived with cats and may be a good fit in homes with older children.
“Camilla is new to the GSRNJ program and urgently needs an emergency foster home to help get her out of the shelter and into a safe, comfortable environment,” the rescue said.
The organization recommends homes with children ages 15 and older but said families with younger children who have experience with large-breed dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
“This beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd is looking for a place where she can decompress, feel secure, and get the chance to show just how amazing she truly is.”
