A 20-year-old man was hospitalized after gunfire erupted just after midnight in Southwest Baltimore, and detectives are now searching for whoever pulled the trigger.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A 20-year-old man was shot early Tuesday in Southwest Baltimore, prompting an active investigation by city detectives.
Officers responded at approximately 12:17 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, to the 200 block of South Monroe Street after receiving reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found the 20-year-old victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Police have not released an update on the victim’s condition.
Southwest District detectives have assumed control of the investigation. No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released information regarding a possible suspect or motive.
