A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Greenbelt while the jackpot climbed to an estimated $526 million.

GREENBELT, MD — A Powerball player in Prince George’s County is holding a ticket worth $50,000 after matching five numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Greenway Liquors, located at 7533 Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, July 15, drawing were 2, 7, 18, 29 and 38, with Powerball 16.

Lottery officials said the ticket matched four of the first five white balls and the Powerball to win the game’s third-tier prize of $50,000.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, pushing Saturday night’s Powerball jackpot to an estimated $526 million annuity, with a cash option of $233.5 million.

Since the jackpot was last won on May 2, Maryland Powerball players have claimed more than $3.1 million in prizes. The Greenbelt ticket is the state’s 11th Powerball prize of $50,000 or more during the current jackpot run.

Lottery officials also said three $50,000 Powerball prizes remain unclaimed:

  • A ticket sold Thursday, May 22, at Korner Liquors, 3120 Old Washington Road in Waldorf.
  • A ticket sold Thursday, June 26, at Crown Liquors, 6579 Ager Road in Hyattsville.
