Murder suspect captured in deadly South Baltimore triple shooting

A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder after a shooting left one man dead and two others wounded in South Baltimore, police said.

BALTIMORE, MD — A 20-year-old man has been been arrested in connection with a South Baltimore shooting that left one man dead and two others injured, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as Taiquan Thomas of Halethorpe.

Investigators said the shooting occurred at approximately 2:51 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street.

When officers arrived, they found three men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds—a 41-year-old man, a 40-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man.

All three victims were transported to area hospitals. Police said the 35-year-old and 40-year-old men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the 41-year-old victim was critically injured.

The critically injured victim, later identified as Curtis Knox, 41, died from his injuries, and the investigation was upgraded to a homicide.

On Wednesday, July 15, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Thomas in Catonsville without incident.

He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
