TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The music is back on for Thursday night as the Super 70’s Rock Show featuring Super Trans Am takes the stage at Shelter Cove Beach following a weather-related postponement earlier this week.

The free community concert begins at 7 p.m. at Shelter Cove Beach, 1390 Bay Avenue, and is presented by Toms River Township Recreation and Mayor Daniel Rodrick.

Free summer concert returns Thursday

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the performance was postponed due to weather and rescheduled for Thursday evening.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to arrive early for an evening of classic 1970s rock music, along with food trucks and family-friendly activities at the waterfront venue.

The event is free and open to the public.

Shuttle service available

To help ease parking near Shelter Cove Beach, free shuttle buses will operate from Toms River High School East before and after the concert.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks while enjoying the performance overlooking the Toms River.

Summer entertainment continues

The Shelter Cove Beach concert series has become one of Toms River’s signature summer attractions, drawing large crowds for free live music throughout the season.

Thursday’s performance by Super Trans Am, known for recreating the sounds of some of the biggest rock acts of the 1970s, is expected to attract another strong turnout after Tuesday’s weather postponement.
