Toms River, NJ – An Ocean County woman is being held without bail after being charged with multiple financial offenses, according to records from the Ocean County Jail.
Tiffany Wallis Prutzman, 54, was booked into the Ocean County Jail on July 24 and remains in custody pending court proceedings.
According to jail records, Prutzman is charged with computer theft by access, receiving or possessing property derived from criminal activity, knowingly falsifying or tampering with records, theft by illegal retention, and misapplication of entrusted property involving government or financial institution funds.
The charges include third-degree offenses alleging computer theft by access and theft by illegal retention, along with second-degree allegations involving property derived from criminal activity and misapplication of entrusted property.
Authorities have not yet released an affidavit or criminal complaint detailing the allegations underlying the charges.
Employment information not confirmed by investigators
A LinkedIn profile appearing to belong to a person with the same name lists employment with OceanFirst Bank. However, authorities have not identified an employer in connection with the criminal charges, and no charging documents released to date allege that the offenses are related to OceanFirst Bank.
Ocean First Bank has not commented on the incident, nor has it confirmed that the allegations were connected to bank business or accounts.
