Police say suspect hid merchandise in bag before walking out without paying
CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Police are searching for a woman accused of stealing nearly $180 worth of children’s clothing from a department store on Greenbrier Parkway.
According to investigators, the theft occurred July 8 at a department store in the 1400 block of Greenbrier Parkway.
Police said the suspect selected multiple items of children’s clothing totaling approximately $179 before concealing the merchandise inside her bag.
The woman then allegedly left the store without paying for the items.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
