NEWARK, N.J. — A multi-agency search along the Passaic River ended Thursday morning after emergency crews recovered a body from the water near Bridge Street in Newark.
The search began Wednesday at approximately 5:12 p.m. after police and firefighters responded to the 700 block of Raymond Boulevard following reports that a man had jumped into the river and failed to return to shore.
The response quickly expanded into a large-scale operation involving multiple local, county, state and federal agencies.
