PHILADELPHIA — Detectives are investigating two separate shootings that occurred Saturday in different parts of Philadelphia, leaving three people wounded, including a teenage girl who remains in serious-critical condition.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, both cases remain active investigations being handled by the department’s Shooting Investigation Group.
Teen girl among two victims found inside SUV
The first shooting occurred at approximately 12:31 a.m. when 25th District officers responded to the 4300 block of North 5th Street for a report of a person with a gun and a male who had been shot inside a vehicle near a barbershop.
Police said officers arrived to find two victims inside a gray Honda Pilot.
A 22-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso and was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
A 17-year-old girl also inside the vehicle sustained gunshot wounds to the head and left leg. She was taken to Temple University Hospital and remains in serious-critical condition.
“No arrest has been made, and no motive has been determined at this time,” police said.
Man arrives at hospital hours after South Philadelphia shooting
In a separate incident, police said they are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on the 900 block of South 4th Street.
Authorities said an adult man walked into Jefferson Hospital at approximately 8:15 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound.
“The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown at this time,” the department said. “There is no known motive, and no arrest has been made.”
Investigators have not released the victim’s condition or any additional details surrounding that shooting.
Police said both investigations remain ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
