PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an incident that left a woman injured in Center City earlier this month.
According to the Central Detective Division, the incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 12 near the 1500 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Police said a 40-year-old woman was chased by a masked suspect who allegedly made threatening comments while approaching her. Investigators said the victim stumbled while attempting to get away, suffering injuries during the fall.
Authorities said the suspect fled into SEPTA’s Suburban Station immediately after the incident and remains unidentified.
The Philadelphia Police Department released surveillance images and video in hopes that members of the public can help identify the individual.

Police release suspect description
Investigators described the suspect as a Black male between 16 and 20 years old with a medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and a thin build.
At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a white baby doll-style Halloween mask with black hair and carrying a black-and-blue plaid backpack.
Police emphasized that the surveillance video released to the public does not contain audio.

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to avoid confronting him and instead contact law enforcement immediately.
