SEWELL, N.J. – Seafood, live music and family entertainment will take over Washington Lake Park Saturday as the South Jersey Seafood & Music Festival returns for another summer “FISHtival.” The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 29.
The festival in Sewell will bring together seafood vendors serving lobster rolls, crab cakes, shrimp and Cajun favorites alongside desserts and other festival food. Admission is $5, while children younger than 5 are admitted free.
Visitors can also expect three live bands, a beer, margarita and sangria garden, vendors and an extensive lineup of children’s activities. Among the attractions is a 35-foot-high, 250-foot-long zip line running through the festival grounds.

Seafood Vendors Take Over Washington Lake Park
Food is at the center of Saturday’s festival, with several regional vendors scheduled to serve seafood throughout the day. Cousins Maine Lobster, Angry Archies, Sherri’s Crab Cakes and Crawdaddy’s Cajun are among the announced participants.
Tacoholics will also be on hand, while visitors looking for something sweet can stop at vendors including Cold Stone and House of Cupcakes.
The festival gives residents in Gloucester County another outdoor entertainment option as the final weekend of August gets underway.
Adults will have access to a beverage garden serving beer, margaritas and sangria. Other vendors will be set up throughout Washington Lake Park during the event.
Live Music, Zip Line and Kids Activities Planned
Poor Mouth Henry, Undisputed and the Jenny Barnes Band are scheduled to perform live throughout the festival, providing a full-day soundtrack alongside the food and activities.
Families will have several attractions beyond the food and music. Organizers have announced inflatables, miniature golf, a bungee trampoline and a rock-climbing wall for children attending the festival.
One of the largest attractions will be a zip line stretching 250 feet through the festival. The ride reaches 35 feet high and will give visitors a different view of the festival grounds.
