NYPD is searching for an unidentified suspect accused of attacking a 42-year-old man during a dispute on East Gun Hill Road
BRONX, NY – A late-night argument in the Bronx turned bloody when an unidentified suspect allegedly attacked a 42-year-old man with a broken glass bottle, slashing him across the face and head before fleeing on foot.
The assault happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. Aug. 29 inside 269 East Gun Hill Road, according to NYPD Crime Stoppers.
The location is within the NYPD’s 52nd Precinct.
The 42-year-old victim became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified person before the confrontation escalated, police said.
The suspect allegedly used a broken glass bottle to slash the victim in the face and head.
The attacker then fled the location on foot and remained unidentified when NYPD Crime Stoppers publicized the case Thursday, nearly two weeks after the assault.
Police did not provide information about the victim’s condition or disclose what allegedly triggered the dispute.
NYPD Crime Stoppers is seeking information that could help investigators identify the suspect.
