Teen charged with manslaughter after accidentally shooting friend in car

DALLAS, TX – On Friday, July 23, 2021, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting that occurred at 300 S. Storey Street.  The victim Chadrick Good, a 17-year-old black male, was sitting in the front passenger seat, and the 16-year-old juvenile suspect was in the rear passenger seat of an SUV.  Homicide detectives learned that the victim was shot as a result of an accidental discharge.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died from his injury. The Homicide Unit will charge the juvenile with manslaughter.
