30 Year-old Man Arrested and Charged with Murder after Shooting

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On August 22, 2021, at approximately 8:59 p.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Pulaski Highway to investigate a reported shooting. When officers arrived at the location they discovered 21 year-old Carlos Rodrigo Amador-Funez suffering from gunshot wound injuries.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation. Detectives were able to identify the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.

Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel, August 26, 2021. Homicide investigators were notified and assumed control over the investigation. Detectives had the criminal charges amended to reflect the death of the victim.

On September 3, 2021, 30 year-old Lamar Williams was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder.

Williams is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
