El Reno, OK – It was great work by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit that led to Ashley Ricks pleading guilty to four counts of first-degree manslaughter. She was sentenced to four 30 year sentences running concurrently. Ricks was driving the wrong way on I-40 near El Reno on October 17, 2020 and crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing a grandmother, mother, and two children. Ricks was driving under the influence at the time of the crash. We hope the outcome of the court case brings a measure of comfort to the victims’ families.
