One Year Old in Critical Condition after Near Drowning in Paramus Pool

PARAMUS, NJ – A one-year-old Paramus boy is in critical condition after a near-fatal drowning incident at a private residence on Beachwood Drive.

Police Chief Kenny Ehrenberg said the boy’s mother pulled him from the pool and responding officers and EMTs performed CPR on the child. He was rushed to Valley Hospital in nearby Ridgewood. The boy was later transferred to Mt. Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital.

The boy remains in critical condition at this time.
