JACKSONVILLE, FL – On Sunday night, August 7th, an adult male bicyclist was hit and killed by a car on University Boulevard West, police said.
The person driving a small SUV who hit the victim did not leave the scene and is cooperating with police. Both bicyclist and the small SUV were traveling eastbound on University Boulevard West when the bicyclist made a sudden left turn in front of the car. It is unknown why the bicyclist made the sudden turn. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
