STATEN ISLAND, NY – The New York City Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation following an incident on Wednesday.
Police responded to a wellness check at 371 Van Name Avenue at approximately 10:06 pm, where they discovered a 23-year-old woman, identified as Evelin Barajas Perez, with multiple stab wounds.
Emergency Medical Services pronounced her deceased at the scene, and a knife was recovered.
No arrests have been made at this time.
