NYPD releases sketch of Brooklyn knifepoint robbery suspect

NEW YORK, NY – Police investigating a knifepoint armed robbery in June have released a sketch of the suspect wanted for that attack.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on Saturday, June 17, at approximately 11:20 PM. A 30-year-old woman was returning to her residence in the vicinity of Hicks Street and Kane Street when an unidentified person approached her. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s belongings. Without hesitation, the suspect forcibly took the victim’s purse before fleeing the scene on foot. The direction of the suspect’s escape remains unknown.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male with a light complexion, black hair, and an approximate height of 5’7″.
