Four Shot One Dead in Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating after four people were shot and one killed in the Bronx early this morning.

The incident occurred at 255 East Burnside Avenue in the Bronx.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting at around 2:44 AM on Monday.

Upon arrival, officers found three male victims with gunshot wounds. Among them, a 34-year-old was wounded in the torso and was later pronounced deceased after being taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS.

A 23-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition, while a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the foot was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition as well.

Later, a fourth victim, a male aged 32, was privately taken to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the back.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and there have been no arrests made at this time. The identity of the deceased is pending notification to the family.
