BROOKLYN, NY – A Brooklyn man, identified as Roland Henegan, 35, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday following his guilty plea for assaulting a 55-year-old man at the Jay Street Subway Station last year.

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez stated that the assault occurred on July 5, 2022, at around 6 p.m.

The victim was punched and subsequently stabbed multiple times by Henegan.

The victim had to receive multiple stitches and had his jaw wired and screwed shut for several months as a result of the assault.

Henegan was sentenced by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Michael Kitsis to 10 years in prison and five years’ post-release supervision.
