NYPD Investigating String of Robberies in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – A series of four robberies involving groups of male and female suspects has prompted an NYPD investigation within the 43 Precinct.

On August 2, at approximately 4:30 a.m., a 62-year-old man was assaulted by a group at 1536 Westchester Avenue. The assailants tried to remove property from the victim’s pocket but were unsuccessful. They fled the scene and the victim sustained head bruising but refused medical attention.

On August 6, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a 33-year-old man was attacked inside Parkchester station. The victim was kicked to the ground, pursued and assaulted again at the corner of Benedict Avenue and Metropolitan Avenue. His iPhone 11 was stolen. The victim also sustained head bruising and refused medical attention.

On August 6, at approximately 3:20 a.m., a 42-year-old man was approached by a group at Hugh J Grant Circle and Westchester Avenue. The men slapped and pushed him to the ground before taking $50 in cash. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.

On August 6, at approximately 4:40 a.m., a 37-year-old man was pushed to the ground by a group in front of 1148 Wheeler Avenue. The assailants stole a cellphone and $200 in cash. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.
