EAST PITTSBURGH, PA – Two adults suffered gunshot wounds on Prospect Drive late this evening, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit.
At 10:25pm, County 9-1-1 received a call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male and an adult female with gunshot wounds to their lower extremities. The victims were immediately transported to a local hospital by ambulance, and their conditions remain unknown.
The incident initially fell under the jurisdiction of the Allegheny County Housing Authority Police, who requested assistance from the Allegheny County Police Department (ACPD). Detectives from ACPD’s General Investigations Unit are now leading the inquiry into the incident.
