CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland Police Department reported the arrest of Mark Joseph White, 44, for assault following an incident on November 10, 2023.
At approximately 11:21 PM, officers responded to a call in the 100 block of Race Street. On arrival, they encountered the victim who accused Mark White of strangulation. The victim’s injuries were consistent with the allegations.
After an investigation, White was arrested and taken to Central Booking. He was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
White faces charges including Assault-1st Degree and Assault-2nd Degree.
