BROOKLYN, NY – Police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 442 42 Street in the early hours of Friday.
At the scene, a 25-year-old woman was found unconscious with a stab wound to her chest. Emergency services transported her to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities have detained a 36-year-old man as a person of interest. The identity of the deceased is withheld pending family notification. The investigation continues.
