Newark Police Release Images of Suspects in Vehicle Break-In

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Department requests the public’s assistance in identifying suspects connected to a theft from an automobile.

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 25, around 4:10 p.m. near Green Street and Mulberry Street.

The victim reported his vehicle’s front passenger-side window shattered upon his return at 4:30 p.m. Items stolen included a wallet with a debit card and driver’s license, along with $300 in cash from the middle console.

Detectives investigating the case have released surveillance images of two suspects seen breaking into the vehicle and taking the victim’s belongings.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé asks anyone with information about the suspects’ identities to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips remain confidential and may be eligible for a reward.
