Mohamed Farah, 34, of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson to three years in prison for threatening the President and a former President. The sentence, announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, also includes a three-year term of supervised release.
Farah admitted to threatening to assassinate President Biden and former President Trump in January 2022. As a citizen of Somalia, Farah may face deportation following his prison term. The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Lower Allen Township Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli prosecuted the case.
