Teenagers Arrested Following Attempted Robbery in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – Two teenagers have been apprehended by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Third District detectives following an attempted robbery that occurred in Northwest. The incident, which took place on Saturday, March 23, at around 8:20 a.m., involved the suspects demanding money from a victim on the 600 block of P Street, Northwest.

The encounter quickly escalated when one of the suspects assaulted the victim after their demand for money was refused. The victim managed to escape the situation and sought assistance from a nearby patrolling officer. A prompt response by officers to canvas the area led to the arrest of two of the suspects involved in the incident.

Both suspects, identified as 15-year-old males from Southeast and Northwest, have been charged with assault with intent to commit robbery. The investigation into the attempted robbery remains ongoing.
